We are a small, friendly, design focused architecture and interior design practice based in Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire and specialising in high-end residential projects. A tenacious approach to planning for over 32 years has given us the experience to advise our clients on obtaining valuable consents for even the most challenging of sites and has provided us with a strong reputation for successful planning negotiations, particularly in the Green Belt, Conservation Areas and on Listed Buildings.
The Role:
You will work closely with our team of architects and interior designers, producing and coordinating drawing packs, schedules and technical information from initial concept phases through to completion for all RIBA stages. Your role will also involve collaborating with clients and contractors as part of a wider design team to deliver highly functional and aesthetic schemes.
Responsibilities:
- Managing, producing and coordinating architectural drawing packages and detailed design information.
- Conducting site visits and surveys before and during construction.
- Liaising with clients, contractors and the wider design team.
- Compliance - ensuring that all works are carried out to the relevant standards, Building Regulations, Planning and other appropriate legislation.
- Working within budgets and timelines.
- Keeping up to date with legislation and standards within the industry.
Requirements:
- Degree or Higher in Architecture or Architectural Technology or equivalent professional experience with a minimum 5 years proven working experience in an Architectural practice in a UK, commercial setting.
- Experience of high end residential projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential (2D windows based) with excellent technical drawing and presentation skills.
- A working knowledge of Revit and SketchUp would be beneficial.
- Demonstrable up to date knowledge of building products and construction details.
- Sound technical knowledge and in depth understanding of current, relevant Building Regulations, British standards, and other relevant legislation.
- Strong organisation, time management, communication, and problem-solving skills
- An ability to liaise with clients and contractors effectively and without supervision.
- Self-driven and disciplined with excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Creative thinking and problem solving ability.
- Strong command of written and spoken English to effectively convey ideas and concepts verbally and visually.
- Ideally you will be located within a 30 minute commute of our office in Little Chalfont (HP7 9PN).
Salary etc:
Salary dependant on experience. 20 days annual leave per annum, rising by 1 day per year of service to 25 days maximum, plus bank holidays.
