Modern pavillion with open plan living area and spa pool

8 years after redesigning this client's main home, JDA and JDI were pleased to collaborate once more. This time we designed a modern pavilion at the end of the garden to include an entertainment space next to the new spa pool as well as occasional guest accommodation. The outbuilding features a large, open plan kitchenette, large corner sliding doors, changing room and a steam shower.

The design takes its cues from both the previous extension of the main house and garage building with materials such as the black timber cladding and a flat green roof. The building sits quietly within its surroundings in the green belt, and most importantly does not influence the 3m high listed garden wall directly behind.
