Amersham - Refurbishment and Alterations
Recently completed refurbishment and alterations as featured on Channel 4's 'George Clarke's Remarkable Renovations'
The Barber's Shop at No. 4 – 6 Whielden Street was originally constructed in the 18th century and listed in 1974. The property has undergone sympathetic alterations and refurbishment works within the existing footprint with planning and listed building consent to convert the existing building into a beautiful family home incorporating an open plan kitchen/ dining area with boots room, WC and separate living area. At first and second floors, 3 further bedrooms have been created each with the own separate ensuite facilities. The roof at second floor has been sensitively restored whilst including additional living space. Many of the existing timber beams throughout the property have been refurbished bringing back to life much of the structure that has been hidden away for many years. The bay window and barbers flag pole have also been sensitively been restored ensuring that a historical nod to the barbers shop remains!
