Extensive renovation and alterations to period property

In collaboration with our interiors team at JDI, we recently completed the extensive renovation of this beautiful Victorian house in Buckinghamshire for a private client.  Our brief was to modernise and improve the property to better suit the family’s lifestyle, fortunately for us this was the second property we had worked on for this client, so we were aware of what they were looking to achieve.

The design maintains the property’s unique character and traditional features whilst also adding a modern twist.  Central to the scheme and at the heart of the house is the new kitchen and family area, a large open plan space created by our combining number of smaller rooms and repurposing some wasted circulation space.  Modern sliding doors to the back of the new family area give a contemporary feel and help link the interior with the beautifully landscaped grounds and amazing views beyond.
