Refurbishment of a traditional country property to create a contemporary family home

Substantial internal alterations and remodelling of this 1920’s house to form an open plan Kitchen, Dining and Family Room with an open aspect to the large rear garden. A two storey extension was added to the front of the property incorporating a new Utility and Boot Room at ground floor with a bedroom extension at first floor. A large dormer was also added to one of the bedrooms as part of the first floor rationalization, to create better use of space throughout.

To maintain the charm and appeal of the building, it was imperative that the proposed additions were in-keeping and proportionate to the age of the property, preserving the special character of the area. We have also designed a double garage, gym (with ancillary accommodation above) to replace the existing garage, this will form phase 2 of the works.
